Event Mode is a Melbourne-based wedding styling studio founded by best friends Talia and Maryam. Talia’s background is in men’s fashion — years inside the suiting industry where precision, silhouette and fabric were everything. Maryam brings an instinct for colour and atmosphere — the kind of eye for how a room should feel, not just how it should look.
That combination shapes every wedding we style. We treat a wedding the way a great suit is cut: nothing accidental, nothing wasted, every element in service of the whole.

A wedding stylist designs the visual identity of your day — the florals, tablescape, linens, lighting direction, ceremony backdrop, signage and every other element guests see. A stylist is not the same as a wedding planner: planners coordinate logistics and timelines, stylists own the look. Event Mode does both ends of full styling, including supplier coordination and on-day delivery.
How much does a wedding stylist cost in Melbourne?+
Full wedding styling in Melbourne typically ranges from $8,000 to $25,000+ depending on guest count, venue, floral scale and how many elements we're producing. Partial styling and direction packages start lower, around $3,500. We quote every wedding individually after a consultation.
How early should I book a wedding stylist?+
Most Melbourne couples book us 10–14 months out. Peak season weekends (October–April) often fill 12+ months ahead, so the earlier the better. We do take on shorter-lead weddings when our calendar allows — get in touch and we'll be straight with you about availability.
Do you only style luxury weddings?+
Our work leans editorial and design-forward, but "luxury" is about intention, not just budget. We style weddings of all sizes — from intimate elopements to 200-guest receptions — provided you care about how the day looks and feels.
Do you travel outside Melbourne for weddings?+
Yes. We regularly style weddings in the Yarra Valley, Geelong & Bellarine and across regional Victoria, and we're available interstate and overseas on request.
